[ Drew's 9th Birthday ]

This year we gave Drew the option to have a birthday party or take a trip to California.  Well, she was wise and chose the trip to California. 
She was able to stay with Aunt Sandra and Uncle PJ and of course cousins Sophie and Brandon.
They definitely made this adventure a great success for Drew and one that she will always remember.

This adventure brought a lot of first for Drew...


First flight alone...
Drew was really brave and took her first flight alone.  She was a little bit hesitant and scared but thankfully the jetBlue flight attendants took really good care of her.  What made it even better was that they were free with my benefits.

 

 

First trip to Disneyland...
Judging by the pictures there was no fun missed at the happiest place on earth.

First Surf Lessons. Drew was mostly excited about this.  Both Aunt Sandra and her got to take Surf lessons.  Drew was able to "get up" on the first try.  This is were there is proof that deep inside she is a true California girl. 

 

 



There was other things they were able to do to add to the fun. Like Kite flying and going to the "beach" park with cousin Sophie and cousin Brandon.

Overall I think Drew's birthday was a major success.  Thanks to the Sanfords for all their effort to make it a good one!
